TERMS & CONDITIONS

PURCHASES MADE IN STORE

1. PURCHASE

A) TO RESERVE AN ITEM, A NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT OF 50% OF THE TOTAL PRICE IS TO BE PAID.
B) IF FURTHER PAYMENT IS REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE SALE, PLEASE PAY THE AMOUNT IN FULL WITHIN 30 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF THIS CONTRACT (UNLESS A PAYMENT PLAN HAS BEEN AGREED IN WRITING PRIOR TO SALE).
C) SHOULD PAYMENT NOT BE COMPLETED WITHIN 30 DAYS WITH NO WRITTEN AGREEMENT FROM HOUSE OF BRIDAL TO EXTEND THE PAYMENT TERMS, HOUSE OF BRIDAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHARGE A DRESS STORAGE FEE OF £50 PER WEEK AND IN THE EVENT OF NO CONTACT, HOUSE OF BRIDAL RESERVES THE RIGHT TO RESELL THE ITEM. IN THIS INSTANCE, YOU WILL NOT BE ENTITLED TO ANY FINANCIAL PAYMENT AND ANY MOIES ALREADY PAID WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.
D) INTEREST MAY BE CHARGED AT THE CURRENT UK BASE INTEREST RATE FOR LATE PAYMENT UNLESS OTHERWISE AGREED IN WRITING BY HOUSE OF BRIDAL.
E) YOU UNDERSTAND THAT UPON PURCHASE, HOUSE OF BRIDAL IS NOT RESPOSIBLE FOR ANY ALTERATIONS OR COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH ALTERING AN ITEM. HOUSE OF BRIDAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY ISSUES RELATING TO ALTERATIONS OR FUTURE FITTINGS.

2. CANCELLATION
A) YOUR PURCHASE MAY NOT BE CANCELLED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND THE FULL PAYMENT DUE IS REQUIRED AS STATED IN CLAUSE 1.
B) ALL ITEMS PURCHASED ARE SOLD AS SEEN AND IN THE CONDITION UPON WHICH THEY WERE SEEN AT HOUSE OF BRIDAL AT POINT OF PURCHASE. NO REDUCTION IN PRICE OR CANCELLATION OF SALE WILL BE PERMITTED FOR ANY DAMAGED, SOILED OR FAULTS NOTICED AFTER POINT OF SALE. PLEASE INSPECT YOUR ITEMS CAREFULLY BEFORE SIGNING THE CONTRACT OF SALE.

3. STORAGE
A) YOUR GOWN OR ITEM CAN BE STORED FOR A MAXIMUM OF 3 MONTHS AND WILL ONLY BE TAKEN OUT OF STORAGE FOR PRE-ARRANGED APPOINTMENTS AND FINAL COLLETION. THIS LIMITS ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY BE CAUSED.

4. ITEM CONDITION
A) MOST ITEMS FOR SALE AT HOUSE OF BRIDAL ARE PRE-LOVED OR EX-SAMPLE ITEMS AND THEREFORE YOU ACCEPT THAT ITEMS MAY HAVE BEEN WORN, DAMAGED, SOILED OR FAULTY. IT IS RECCOMENDED THAT YOU CHECK YOUR ITEM THOROUGHLY BEFORE AGREEING TO PURCHASE AS ANY FAULTS WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE GROUNDS FOR A REFUND OR CANCELLATION OF PURCHASE.
B) HOUSE OF BRIDAL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE OR LIABLE FOR ANY REPAIRS OR DRY CLEANING REQUIRED FOR ITEMS OR ANY SUBSEQUENT ISSUES RELATING TO CLEANING OR ALTERATIONS.
C) BEADING, EMBELLISHMENTS AND MATERIALS CAN DETORIATE IN TIME AND MAY DISCOLOUR OR BECOME LOOSE. HOUSE OF BRIDAL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY TIME RELATED DETORIATION OF YOUR PURCHASE.

5. LIABILITY
HOUSE OF BRIDAL WILL NOT BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY BREACH BY US CAUSED BY CIRCUMSTACES BEYOND OUR CONTROL INCLUDING BUT NOT RESTRICTED TO AN ACT OF GOD, WAR, RIOT, MALICIOUS DAMAGE, FIRE, THEFT, FLOOR OR STORM.

DRESS DONATIONS

Thank you for offering to donate your item. In order to maximise the social impact of our sales we cannot guarantee that every dress submitted for donation will be able to be placed with us at House of Bridal. We will let you know whether or not we can accept your dress or item.

Once you have donated your wedding dress or other item(s) to House of Bridal, we will not be able to return it/them to you. Dresses and items are placed for sale at our discretion at our boutique and/or other pop-up or retail events that may occur from time to time. We donate 1/3 of profits from the sale of every donated item to charity projects. We endeavour to donate to the charity chosen by the donor but cannot guarantee that this will always be the case. Please note that you will not be entitled to receive any funds resulting from the sale/s. Unfortunately due to the volume of our sales we are not able to get in touch with all of our donors individually when a sale is made, but welcome enquires upon which we can provide an update.

From time to time House of Bridal will donate items to other registered charities. We promise that no dress or other donated item will ever be discarded.

DRESS SALE SERVICE

House of Bridal offers a dress sale and rental service for customers. House of Bridal does not purchase dresses or items from customers but acts as a sales agent on behalf of the customer. House of Bridal can accept genuine designer dresses and items only and cannot guarantee that all items will be suitable for sale. House of Bridal reserves the right to deny sale of items at any point.

LENGTH OF CONTRACT

House of Bridal will attempt to sell your item/s for an initial period of 1 YEAR and then with the agreement of both parties further increments of 3 MONTHS.
It is agreed that if there is no contact from the client or contact has not been established, there is implied permission to continue to attempt to sell the item.
If the client and company agree to cancel ongoing sale attempts of the item/s, it is the client’s responsibility to collect the item from House of Bridal within 30 days of the verbal agreement.

Should the client not collect the item/s within this timeframe and with no pre-agreed extension of collection time in writing having been made, House of Bridal may dispose of the item/s by any means and shall not be liable in any way for the item/s.

ADVERTISING

The client agrees not to list or sell the item elsewhere using any other means whilst in the care of House of Bridal. Should the client be found to be selling the item elsewhere, a penalty fee of £250 shall be due in full to House of Bridal before the item shall be returned to the client.

TERMINATION

The client must give House of Bridal 30 days notice in writing if wishing to terminate the contract. The item/s can be collected after this 30 day period if the item hasn’t sold.

PAYMENT

House of Bridal will value your items and suggest the value that you can achieve once your item/s have sold. The agreed amount and reserve amount is the money that we agree to pay you once your item has sold. We do not take commission from this amount.

THE CARE OF YOUR ITEM/S

House of Bridal will endeavour to protect your item/s to the best of its ability. By agreeing to allow House of Bridal to sell your item, you agree and understand that your item will be tried on by potential customers. This could result in minor damage to the item/s such as general wear and tear, staining or marking, beading, buttons and embellishments becoming loose or falling off etc. This list is not exhaustive.

Please note that bridal and evening wear can age and there are some common defects that can occur naturally over time such as diamantes and crystal embellishments turning yellow, the glue used in shoes yellow or browning over time etc. This list is not exhaustive.

House of Bridal shall not be held liable or responsible for any age- related occurrences.

House of Bridal is not responsible for any hangers, dress bags, covers, boxes or any other item that accompany an item to be sold. Please take these items home with you if you wish to keep hold of them.
