About

My Mission Is to Empower and Inspire Women to Fall in Love with Themselves Whilst Saying I Do to a More Sustainable and Kinder Future

My Story

The story of House of Bridal started one hot and sunny day in 2020 when founder Lou (also known as Louise by lovely parents) was mid workout in the garden. The world was locked down due to the covid pandemic and whilst in a rather compromising yoga pose, a thought took hold. What would happen to the dresses bought for weddings during covid and what if she could help by selling those dresses and donating some of the money into projects to do good?

Now this may seem like a really random thought to strike, but Lou IS that person (anyone who knows her will validate, we promise!) The thing is, she already had an extensive history in the luxury bridal world having run a boutique and so with time on her hands for plenty more yoga, she set about piecing the business together.

House of Bridal launched in 2023 offering brides a luxurious space and a carefully curated selection of the most sought after designer gowns, all preloved and all with a kinder price tag. The concept of sustainable high-end bridal took off as word spread and before long the business evolved with brides all across the UK, not just locally, able to sell their wedding dresses through House of Bridal.

Fast forward to now and I am extremely proud to be launching The Bride Tribe, an empowering space for brides (well actually all women) offering advice, inspiration and one to one coaching around everything wedding and beyond. In 2026 we are launching Heal, an in house clinically led aesthetics and skincare service, as well as partnering up with Artistry To Aisle offering brides immersive runway shows for modern inspired bridal looks.

The future is bright, and I cannot thank you, my incredibly positive and supportive bridal community enough for that. So without further ado, I shall get back to steaming the dresses and I hope to see you at the boutique very soon!

Love

Meet the Founder

Hey there, my name is Louise and I am the founder and chief brainiac behind House of Bridal. So why set up a bridal boutique you say? Well to me, wedding dresses are like air- I have always had a rather unhealthy obsession with them and I can absolutely pinpoint that back to childhood and literally having the best dressing up box a girl could ever dream of. You see, my Grandma would attend these extremely fancy balls back in the days where women wore giant ballgowns made of beautiful silky satin. I still remember the feeling of prancing around my parents lounge in these dresses and how empowered and beautiful they made me feel. Fast forward to today and I have never felt more passionate about styling women. In an age where women’s self confidence is at an all time low, it has never been more important to help and if we can do that sustainably as well as give back to people, communities and the planet, then even better!

So who is this dress obsessed girl you may ask? Well , lets see. If I could sum myself up in one word it would be tea! I am possibly about 95% tea and the rest is a mix of smiles, mischief and mojitos! I love Netflix, give me a good crime documentary and you won’t see me for days! I am a proud mumma, daughter, sister and fiance (yes ladies its true!) and also a proud rescue dog owner!

I am a qualified female advocate, life coach and eating phycology coach. I prefer lifting weights to running on a treadmill and my favourite food is a roast dinner! My nails are nearly always painted red (there is something powerful about that I think) and I am a total free spirit. I love the sea, Barcelona is my favourite city in the world (so far) and I most definitely prefer the summer to the winter.

I am genuinely excited to welcome you to House of Bridal, whether that is by helping you sell your wedding dress, joining us at one of our luxury bridal retreats or online at your personal bridal coaching session. Whatever your reason for joining me, I am greatful and I cannot wait to share this exciting adventure with you!

Lets go,

All my love,

Louise x

Meet Barry, the founder of HEAL aesthetics

Hello, my name is Barry, the Founder and Director of HEAL Aesthetics and Wellness. In Louise’s bridal world, some of you will know me as The Dress Collector (the friendly helpful kind, you will be happy to hear). I am incredibly excited to welcome you all to HEAL, launching in Spring 2026 at House of Bridal.

I have worked within neurological and musculoskeletal practise for over 25 years as a leading clinical specialist physiotherapist within rehabilitation centres and as a global expert in the medical technology sector. I am also a member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a state registered practitioner.
I have exceptional knowledge in anatomy, facial structure, muscle function and the intricate balance of the human body, and that combined with a passion for helping people to feel their absolute best, is what led me to create HEAL.
Some interesting facts about me… I was once a professional rugby player (and yes I have the scars to prove it). I have been lead Physio for the professional Rugby League team The Bradford Bulls, as well as a physio on tour with Take That (yes that happened too!) I believe Big Foot is real, my sneezes are amongst the loudest on the planet and I am proudly plant based. Yes I do get enough protein and no, this wasn’t Louise’s doing (only slightly!)
I have travelled the world spending large amounts of time in Australia and New Zealand. I am a qualified scuba diver, have swum with sharks and been chased by a seal lion- I do not recommend this at all, they are far more terrifying in real life than David Attenborough makes out!
So, for all of your expert bridal skincare and aesthetics or just to find out more about Yetti’s or Take That, be sure to book your free consultation at HEAL. The waiting lists are open and I cannot wait to welcome you to my new clinic.
See you soon,
Barry

Meet the CWO

(Chief Welcoming Officer)

So you have met the brains behind House of Bridal so now it is most definitely time for you to meet our Chief Welcoming Officer. Gracie is our resident CWO and has most certainly earned her title after her commitment and dedication to greeting every single bride. As a 15 year old rescue dog, this is no mean feat and I am so proud of her achievements to date!

If Gracie was a member of the royal family, she would most definitely be Princess Diana. She is charming, sweet and shy. She will greet everyone with a smile and warmth but wont ever overstep the mark. She has a beautiful soul with a wicked sense of mischief which is normally saved for walkies with her favourite friends, Nellie, Bentley and Pip! Gracie loves people, cheese, and belly rubs. She prefers watching Gogglebox to mums crime stuff and she adores foot rubs and running across the sand at the beach.

With boops always,

Gracie
