We are situated on the border of the South Downs National Park with views across fields with deer and birds of prey (its pretty special!)

It is easily accessible from the A3 and a 10 minute taxi from either Petersfield or Havant train station. House of Bridal is 1 hour from London by train, 15 minutes from Portsmouth and 40 minutes from The New Forest.

House of Bridal is set in a large house in the countryside and yes its on a Bridle Path (we couldn’t have planned that any better if we tried!). It is completely private and serene and offers brides a calming yet fun space to explore a wide range of the latest designer dresses. We want you to feel right at home here so the boutique has been designed to feel tranquil and cosy yet with the magical touches that make your experience extra special, just as it should be.

House of Bridal is a sustainable and ethical luxury preloved bridal boutique in Hampshire offering eco-savvy brides the latest high-end designer wedding dresses ‘off the peg’ and at up to 60% off.

We stock all of the major luxury bridal designers such as Berta, Mila Nova and Suzanne Neville (you can see the kinds of designers we stock here) and donate 1/3 of our gifted dress revenue to charities chosen by you, our incredible brides.
We can sell or hire out a wedding, prom or evening dress for you and we also accept dress donations for our Dress Kind project, supporting brides with terminal illnesses across the UK.

With every bridal appointment, we plant a tree giving back to our precious planet because we believe that buying a designer dress, shouldn’t cost the earth.

There is room on the private driveway for 1 car or you can also park easily along Five Heads Road which is at the top of the Bridle Path.

Most boutiques these days will have a guide of anywhere between 12 to 18 months ahead of your wedding day. House of Bridal differs from this model because lots of our dresses are available to buy and take home the same day. This removes the pressure factor considerably (hooray!) for brides and also enables you to still buy and have plenty of choice even if your wedding is coming up soon or if you are searching for a dress last minute.

Our boutique is located up a flight of stairs within a house. Please do make us aware if you have limited mobility and we will make arrangements to bring your appointment to a space that is accessible for your needs where possible. We want to make our dresses accessible and inclusive for all and so will endeavour to work around brides specific needs always.

The House of Bridal collections have a wide variety of price points which enables plenty of choice for everyone, no matter your budget. Our ranges are usually priced between £500 to £3500 for our more couture labels. Most dresses cost between £800 to £1500.

Yes absolutely. Your appointment at House of Bridal is 100% private and you will always be the only bride here at the boutique meaning you have absolute discretion and we can focus on you completely. We are a bride centred boutique meaning that you get our undivided attention at all times.

This is a great question! We actually stock them all is the easiest answer! Unlike a traditional boutique, we are unlimited to the amount of designers that we are able to stock. This means that at any one time, we can have dresses from Galia Lahav, Berta and Mila Nova through to Made With Love, Grace Loves Lace and Essence of Australia. Our collections revolve and change constantly and we are in a unique position to source designers especially for brides to try here at the boutique. See bespoke dress sourcing.

We only stock verified designer gowns and the vast majority are current and recent collections however we will sometimes add classic designer styles if we feel they are relevant to the modern bride.

The majority of our dresses here normally range from a UK size 6 to 16. Dress sizes vary considerably between designers and your personal stylist will be able to work with you to ensure that we fit dresses as close to your shape as possible. If you are searching for dresses over a UK 16 please do contact us and we can show you what we currently have in stock or possibly source dresses for you to try.

If you experience low self-esteem or body issues, please do contact us as we provide specialist appointments with our in house life-coach & head stylist.

You are welcome to bring up to a maximum of 3 guests with you however you can always arrange to bring other special guests with you at a second appointment for accessories or as a special reveal appointment!

Absolutely, we will spoil and look after you we promise!

House of Bridal is a special kind of boutique where every single appointment is tailored to you, from the music playing to how long we spend on each element of your appointment. The boutique is set in a house with a deeply calming and serene atmosphere to help you feel at home and is completely private. Our in house head stylist is also a qualified life coach and female advocate and so can work with you prior to your appointment to ensure that you feel safe and empowered enough to try dresses and to enjoy your bridal experience.

The care doesn’t need to end there. We can also work with you providing specialist bridal coaching to support you every step of the way to your wedding and beyond. We can even be there for you on your big day!

Neutral colour and seamless underwear is preferable and if you do have a strapless bra then perfect! You don’t need to bring shoes as we have a special podium for you to stand on however feel free to bring shoes if you have purchased some already.

Sorry but we can’t accommodate children due to the boutique being at the top of a large flight of stairs.

We have an extensive collection of wedding dresses and so not all of our dresses will be on the website. Please feel free to contact us if there is a certain designer or style you are interested in.

Please don’t have a fresh fake tan on when attending your appointment as this will stain the dresses. Also we kindly ask that you don’t wear too much make up at your appointment so that we can protect the dresses as best as possible. The perfect dress will make you feel beautiful, even without make up!

You will be greeted by your personal bridal stylist and shown up to the boutique where we will sit and have an informative chat to find out all about you, your wedding plans and the kinds of dresses that you are drawn too, if any! From there we will head into the bridal room to view the collections and we can either help you choose or you can select the dresses that you would like to try on.

If you have booked a Signature or VIP afternoon tea, you can relax and enjoy those while your stylist prepares the dresses ready for you to try.

Your appointment will run completely around you and you are free to try on as many or as few dresses as you wish without any pressure. Our stylist will be with you throughout to ensure that you have everything you need.

You are welcome to try on as many or as few dresses that you like within your appointment time!

Absolutely! We have a beautiful selection of veils, hair pieces and accessories and can help you to find the perfect styles to match your dress!

Mostly not no! A vast majority of our dresses are available to buy and take home the same day meaning no long waiting times and you buy the actual dress you have fallen in love with! No long waiting times, no surprise sizing issues and we can help brides who need to find a dress fast!

We have cut out the middle man and offer payment by bank transfer. We require a non refundable 50% deposit to secure your dress. Flexible payment terms available.

All of our dresses and accessories are sold at reduced prices and therefore cannot be refunded.

It is really important to have your dress professionally cleaned first and then you can store it in a breathable storage bag or box.

Please store your dress somewhere out of direct sunlight and away from damp.

We highly recommend getting your dress dry-cleaned as soon after your wedding as possible. We are happy to organise this for you through our trusted partners. Simply contact us with DRY CLEANING as the subject.

The kindest thing to do of course is to either donate, resell or hire out your wedding dress and accessories as this will not only give your dress a longer life which is by far the best thing for the environment (sustainable bride tick!) but will also give another bride the opportunity to feel as beautiful as you did on your wedding day- double win!
