Essential Criteria to Sell Your Dress
In order to sell your dress, please check my criteria below!
It must be a genuine designer dress (I do not accept Wed2be, Shein etc)
Dresses must be under a few years old or at least a current style (see Instagram page for inspiration)
Your items must be in excellent condition (I can organise dry cleaning on your behalf)
Dresses can be new or preloved
Note: Dresses shortened to 5’3 or under heights may be tricker to sell

Application
Please complete the quick and easy form below, giving details about the dress or item that you would like to sell.
If your dress or item meets the criteria and there is an opening to sell your dress at the boutique, you will receive a text, whatsapp or email to confirm.
02.
Value and contract
House of Bridal will clarify any further details needed then provide you with a free valuation for your dress or item.
If you are happy to proceed, we will complete the contract. There are 3 options here.
- Complete the contract online
- Arrange to complete the contract at the Hampshire boutique
- Look out for a Dress Rewind pop up near you.
03.
Getting your dress to the boutique
Once the contract is complete, you can either:
- Book a date to bring your dress to the boutique
- Send your dress to the boutique
- Bring your dress to one of the Dress Rewind UK pop up events across the UK
And that is it- quick, simple and easy!

All items must be in excellent sellable condition and should not be older than 4 years (unless a current designer style.) If unsure, please check out my Instagram page to see the kinds of dresses sold here!)
Items should be in excellent, sellable condition. I accept both new and preloved dresses and items as well as ex sample dresses. I can arrange specialist wedding dress dry cleaning for you through my partners Boxed Bridal.
It would be absolutely lovely if it is but I am also happy to arrange and take care of dry cleaning for you through my trusted partners Boxed Bridal.
I can arrange to take your dress to Boxed Bridal on your behalf for dry cleaning, collect and value your dress and then you can decide if you would like to go ahead with resale or you can arrange to have your dress redelivered back to you. All dry cleaning and postage costs are yours. I do not charge you extra for this service.
Yes, all postage costs to either send or have your dress returned to you are yours. House of Bridal is not responsible for delivery or delivery charges.
You also have the option to bring your dress to the boutique- just get in touch to make an appointment.
Or you can book to attend Bride Rewind at a location near you. This is a House of Bridal pop up especially for customers wishing to sell their dress.
If possible wrap your item in tissue paper and pop into a waterproof bag. Seal the bag with tape and then pop into a sturdy box. Please remember to add your signed and printed contract sent to you via email into the box before taping up well.
Bride Rewind is a pop up event across the UK that enables customers who are looking to sell their dresses, to book an appointment and meet with Lou in person to discuss selling their dress. Customers can share a glass of fizz over the contract, ask any questions and of course, if happy, leave their dress with Lou to bring back to the boutique, saving on postage! It a great way to share your wedding dress story with the lady herself and celebrate your dress starting her new journey!

No, unfortunately I cannot sell bridesmaid dresses for you.
Yes of course!
Yes of course. Once your application has been approved, you can box up your wedding dress and send it to the boutique. The boutique address will be given to you once sale has been agreed.
Yes absolutely. I have a special collection of petite dresses (size 0-UK 8) and can usually accept dresses that have been altered although this may make selling a little harder. Shortened straps and short hems can be restrictive for new brides.
Absolutely. I require one months notice in writing and return delivery is at your cost.
